Meet our Coaches
Coach Lisa |
Coach Lisa is a certified USATF Level 1 Track & Field coach who is passionate about teaching track and field to the youth. She has been coaching track and field for the past seven years specializing in javelin and throws, as well as coaching sprints, mid-distance, and cross country. Several of these athletes have received national recognition as junior olympic champions. She is currently coaching in both the Track & Field and Basketball Programs for FBCHA. Her coaching philosophy is to help youth build a firm foundation as a successful, confident athlete through hard work and self-discipline, as well as inspiring them to maintain these characteristics into their adulthood. She and her husband, Richard have been married for 36 years. They have four daughters and eight sons as well as two granddaughters and two grandsons.

Coach Amber is a former hurdler/ high jumper who has coached track since her college days. She is a USTAF Level-1 certified coach, was a Head Track/ Cross Country coach when teaching and has a Master's of Sports Science in Sport Coaching from the United States Sports Academy. Amber loves seeing athletes meet their goals through hard work. Coach Amber is married to her husband, Bobby and they have two sons and a daughter.

Coach Justin |
Coach Justin is a former collegiate distance runner at Abilene Christian University, who found individual and team success at the conference and national levels. His specialties included cross country, steeplechase, and 1500-5000 meters. Justin returns to coaching track and field after a fifteen-year pause, but comes with an expertise for distance running, mental preparation, and technical form. He enjoys watching kids explore, discover and develop their gifts and passions on and off the track. Justin and his wife, Alison, have been married for 19 years and have two sons and two daughters.

As a former NCAA Division 1 All-American, 2007 Texas Relays Decathlon Champion, two-time Athlete of the Year at UTSA, four-time Conference Champion, and four-time Track and Field Team Captain, Brandon brings extensive experience and knowledge in multi-events, specifically sprints and jumps. Beyond his athletic accomplishments, Brandon is passionate about youth homeschool sports and dedicated to helping young athletes achieve their goals while emphasizing competition and Christian ethics. His philosophy acknowledges that not all youth athletes will become professional athletes, but all can become valuable contributors to their families and society. He believes that the ups and downs of sports provide vital life skills for young athletes and their future success.

As a former Division 1 athlete recruited for high jump and sprints, Rikki brought passion and dedication to the track at UTSA, working hard towards her PR 5’10 1/4” record in the High Jump. Now, as a coach for both FBCHA Track & Field and FBCHA Volleyball, Rikki tries to instill the same drive and commitment in her athletes, nurturing their talents and fostering a winning mindset. With her experience as both a competitor and mentor, she strives to inspire excellence on and off the field.

Coach Akyra is a former FBCHA athlete and 2023 homeschool graduate. She is currently pursuing her real estate license online. Akyra was a volleyball player, sprinter and long jumper in high school for many years. She loves to help encourage and motivate athletes to do their best and to put God first in all they do! She is a great addition to the FBCHA Eagles coaching staff.

Coach Ashlie |
Coach Ashlie is a former collegiate volleyball player and multi-sport athlete with experience in track and field as a sprinter, thrower, and jumper. She is a USTAF Level-1 certified coach, certified in sports nutrition, with a doctorate in physical therapy and a certification in exercise physiology. Ashlie's coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work, discipline, and helping athletes reach their full potential. She currently coaches FBCHA Track & Field and Basketball, designing performance-focused training programs with an emphasis on injury prevention. Ashlie and her husband, Jordan, have nine children and have been a part of the FBCHA since its founding.

Coach Danel is passionate about homeschool sports and helping young athletes become a bright light for Christ. Her coaching philosophy focuses on attitude, effort and equipping young athletes to be leaders.
She played and has coached multiple sports including for the past eight years for FBCHA Basketball. Danel has been with FBCHA since it was founded. Danel and her husband Eric have been married for 26 years and have 4 children. They have been homeschooling for the past 17 years. |

Coach Lance

Coach Lance is a part-time coach for our FBCHA track program and is currently a graduate of the University of Houston where he studied MIS. He was a high school cross-country and track athlete and ran 2nd leg for his state 4x400m team. It is no surprise, his favorite track event is the 4x400m relay. Lance enjoys watching all the hard work the athletes put into their training and helping them to grow as athletes and individuals.

Coach Jordan is a recent 2024 high school graduate as well as a gifted and talented thrower. He has been assisting our team of throwers for several years. Jordan has also earned recognition as a nationally awarded 4x All-American javelin thrower. Jordan finished third in the javelin at the 2024 Texas Relays. Coach Jordan will be assistant coaching our middle school and high school throwers when he is available. He has accepted an offer to throw javelin for Texas A&M Corpus Christi for the 2024-2025 school year.
